The Faculty of Liberal Arts encompasses a wide range of disciplines, from traditional arts programs to new and interdisciplinary fields of study. We prioritize opportunities for students to apply what they learn in the classroom to the real world, and to explore different fields while developing essential skills in critical thinking and communication. Our students gain a greater understanding of the world around them and how they can positively influence it.
Our faculty members are active, collaborative researchers that make an impact in our community, and they encourage our students to do the same by teaching them to develop and showcase their own research, starting from the undergraduate level.
The Faculty of Liberal Arts offers undergraduate and graduate academic programs across 10 academic departments.
Five of our programs are part of a partnership with the University of Sussex in the UK for a pathway to both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and law degree (LLB), and four include a Teaching Option with a direct pathway into Laurier's Bachelor of Education (BEd).
Many of our undergraduate programs also offer opportunities to include related postgraduate certificates from Conestoga College in a unique campus partnership.
